The Kick-Off Meeting (KOM) is the first session in this series of four training courses. The KOM has several objectives.

Firstly, it will bring together all the DCs and PIs. This will enable the DCs to expand their scientific network and get to know the other DCs involved in the project.

Secondly, as the name suggests, the course will be used to provide training.

During the three days, one day will be devoted to “transversal skills training”, during which DCs will receive advice and attend lectures on the following topics:

- First steps as a DC and PhD studend, project management in PhD education, data management and literature tools

- Training aspects of MonaLisa;

- Research integrity and scientific misconduct;

- Publishing & Open science

- The "MSCA Green Charter".

They will also have the opportunity to visit the R&D and production department of Soprema, a partner company based in Strasbourg.

The following two days will be dedicated to scientific training. On this occasion, PIs and project collaborators will give lectures on their respective fields of expertise.
